LIBRARY PROGRAMS

I have performed children’s, family and adult shows at over 70 libraries throughout Southern California.

CHILDREN’S AND FAMILY PROGRAMS

The children’s and family programs are appropriate for ages 5 years and up.   They consist of a variety of dances, brief introductions to them, and lots of audience interaction.  Children learn when and how to yell “jaleos” such as Olé!, move their arms and hands like flamenco dancers, and clap to flamenco rhythms.  At show’s end they are invited onstage to learn and perform a flamenco tango, danced with scarves.  Afterwards they are permitted to try out the various props, such as my Spanish fans, bullfighters cape and mantones (shawls).  I also provide a short introductory castanet class.

ADULT PROGRAM

The adult program features more dances, as well as anecdotal and educational information about the dances, Spain and Gypsy Spain.  A castanet lesson is offered afterwards.

ADD A SECOND PERFORMER TO ANY PROGRAM

Enrich any program by adding a solo guitarist who plays a selection of the timeless classical compositions created for the Spanish guitar.  Your audience will welcome the opportunity to experience two unique and elegant Spanish performing arts, both the dance and the music, in one program.
